I was browsing Dribbble a couple weeks ago and came across a post from Ian Tearle of a mockup he’d made for an app to upload shots to Dribbble. This looked like a fun project so I sent him an email and we started collaborating!

ChopShop Resubmitted
ChopShop has been resubmitted, it was rejected for using private APIs.
The private API calls came from BWToolkit, in this post we will be covering what we did to remove the dependencies on this framework.

ChopShop Rejected
We just heard today that ChopShop was rejected from the App Store because it used private APIs.
2.5 Apps that use non-public APIs will be rejected
ChopShop technicly doesn’t use private apis, but we used BWToolkit for some of the UI elements and this is where the private API calls are coming from.

The State of ChopShop
@darthapo was wondering on twitter today what happened with ChopShop 1.1. We blogged about this a while back, then after deliberating we decided it would be better to hold off on releasing a new version until it was really perfect.

It’s been too long sense we updated the ‘official’ release of InAppSettings. These changes have been available in source, but there are a lot of developers that want a quick and easy download.

WoW Status 1.4
Azeroth isn’t the only thing Deathwing rained fiery destruction on. After the release of Cataclysm our World of Warcraft realm status app also felt Deathwings wrath and stopped working! This was caused by an update to the official realm status website. The update is a great improvement over the previous version, however the update removed the xml data we were using for WoW Status.
We are pleased to announce that an update to WoW Status has been submitted and is awaiting approval that fixes this issue!
