InScopeApps is a software company founded by David Keegan.

InScopeApps.com was launched in 2009, however many of the applications predate the web site. The site was created because we needed a place to showcase all of our great apps, and to provide a centralized location for our users to give feedback and learn more about our apps.

The Tools

Platforms

We develop primarily for OS X and the iPhone, but strive to make our applications cross platform compatible whenever possible.

Open Source

The source code for most of our applications is available, and distributed under an open source license!

Browsers

InScopeApps.com is built for modern web browsers like Safari, Chrome and Firefox. It was built for Safari, but displays fine in the others. It uses the newest web standards, which means it looks awful in Internet Explorer. We are trying to fix this, but not very hard...
InScopeApps.com runs on two powerful technologies.

WordPress

WordPress is a state-of-the-art publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability. WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.

django

Django is a high-level Python Web framework that encourages rapid development and clean, pragmatic design.

Python

Python is a dynamic object-oriented programming language that can be used for many kinds of software development. It offers strong support for integration with other languages and tools, comes with extensive standard libraries, and can be learned in a few days. Many Python programmers report substantial productivity gains and feel the language encourages the development of higher quality, more maintainable code.

Murky

Murky is an open source Mercurial client for the Mac by Jens Alfke. David started contributing to the project by designing an entire icon set for the app, and is now an administrator on the project.

Xcode

Xcode is Apple's premiere development environment for Mac OS X. At the heart of the Xcode tools package is the Xcode IDE, a graphical workbench that tightly integrates a professional text editor, a robust build system, a debugger, and the powerful GCC compiler capable of targeting Intel and PowerPC regardless of host platform. Xcode is both easy to use, and yet powerful enough to build the largest Mac OS X applications.
